HVAC miscers, central AC question

Misc, I am installing AC into my house which is roughly 2000 sq ft home.

I plan on using the old 240v wire that previously ran a stove (i switched to gas), the wire will be extended and re routed outside.

My question is:

Will the 40amp breaker be enough? I have no idea what unit the installer is using yet.

Most likely. You need to check New unit equipment tag and it will tell you max fuse size

Definitely. You can always tape/glue the breaker into the on position if need be.
