Anyone ever listen to Jelly Roll?

Was at work last Saturday with a mid 50s ex cop and another dude, mid 30s like me, fixing ****. Phil the older dude asked if we like Jelly Roll and Jess the dude my age laughed and said yes. Phil looked at me and I was like that older song that old people do a stupid dance to? I think I remember it. They laughed at me and said they'd show me later. Mind was blown an older dude with a family and doesn't like drugs and what not and doesn't know what Twitter is listens to Jelly Roll on his way home.

Came in expecting to discuss Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbecke, Count Basie and the like. Leaving disappointed.

Since I started listening to him, that's one of my favorites. I don't listen to radio much didn't know he was popular like that.

Yeah I think he's pretty new. They just started playing that song a month or so ago I think.

I bet he'd have gotten noticed sooner without a name like Jelly Roll. When my older friend said he likes jelly roll, it sounded like a dumb older person thing. Now think if someone way younger said you should check out jelly roll, you'd probably just laugh and say yeah I will and then never listen cause it sounds like something stupid the kids like these days.

Mine too. I still can’t decide if I like it or if it’s most modern day rock garbage. I tend to think I like it.

Song always hit hard, especially if you've been through addiction or going through it fighting your way to the bottom without realizing you're doing it.

What's a good Jennings one? Jess showed me a song with him and jelly roll after jelly roll, I think. Or it might have just been Jennings singing about a porch swing, it was kinda country, or another dude. I know one was Jennings, he showed me 3 songs.
