R&R HOF was woke before woke was cool. I have zero respect for them and wouldn't visit if you paid me. It's funny how they can have anything they want exclusively, but we can't. And obviously the they/we isn't solely race as eminem is sorta white. Sorta, although I don't claim him.

Jackson was in the pop/rock category of music. No issue with Eminem going in-but ahead of Meatloaf, Scorpions, Iron Maiden etc-some of the biggest rock artists of all time,nope. But it is clearly just like the WWE HOF-a vanity project.

Apparently Eminem would be the 10th rapper inducted. A rapper like SupaHotFire I would be good with (even tho he's not a rapper, first of all) but Eminem I don't think so

A poem can sound "musical" based on the rhyming but most rap I hear is mumbled or shouted and so the sound of the poem doesn't happen. So, there is no pleasant or catching sound to it.

I don't see how people look back on rap and be like "oh remember that one!" because there's nothing to remember. You can hum a song from the past and people can tell you what song it was. I could never hum a rap "song" for anyone and have anyone guess what it is.

I think it's like mass produced garbage not meant to have a lasting impression.

Between its lack of individual artisticness, the lyrics are what you've said. There's no raps that I hear that aren't bragging or about violence.

I can't believe that, especially black people, aren't creating music and don't want to write meaningful raps. The only meaningful raps I've heard are from white rappers.

Anyway, black people pretty much started rock music and there's almost no black musicians doing anything.

RARHOF is trash, and lost it's credibility decades ago. Should just be called "The Music Hall of Fame."

And I say that as someone who loves metal / rock as well as rap / hip hop. In fact, my first two CDs were Hendrix and Eminem.

As a Hip Hop head, I don’t understand why the ROCK AND ROLL Hall of Fame inducts rappers. They should (like the wizard above says) change their name to just the music hall of fame.
