Any shows like "The Wire" or "The Shield"

I've watched both of these series, every episode every season, multiple times. I just finished "The Shield" again.

Both of these shows aired from around 2001-2007 so they have that in common. These shows are so satisfying to watch, but I've watched them all multiple times now, and want to know if there's any other shows like this that hit real hard in a similar fashion. Anything Crime/Drug/Cop/Gang related.

I've also watched "Power" which is an amazing series, maybe I'll watch that again since it's been a while.

Any suggestions?

Narcos. Police/DEA/Government vs. drug cartels. Splits time between the 2 just like the wire. Most based on real people events too.

Narcos is amazing



Top Boy is also pretty damn good, it's a British show, kind of like the wire since it follows urban yoot gangsters. Watched the seasons on netflix and really enjoyed it.

Bosch is a decent cop show.

Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul are the obvious ones.

I remember Luther being pretty decent with Idris Elba.

We Own This City just came out on HBO, which has some of the same writers or producers as The Wire

Southland is pretty decent
