I'm honestly conflicted about this topic. New users would be cool and stakes for getting perma'd are way higher now. And frankly, sometimes it's funny when people have alt-spam meltdowns because it only lasts like 20-30 minutes usually. But on the other hand, having a closed-off section of the internet is pretty phuckin based tbh because it's actually a lot rarer than you might think, and I can't think of a better forum to be cordoned off from the internet with than the misc ded srs.

There aren't enough regular posters left and so decent threads/posts were just getting completely drowned out by bored alt accounts. Misc is far more enjoyable when 99% of the threads on the first page aren't garbage red threads. There was also an actual spam problem that they couldn't get a handle on.
