Anyone use rowers?

I ordered a concept2 rower, should arrive on Monday..

Any tips for a complete newbie before I start?

Should I use foot straps or not? Cause some people were saying using them will fuk up your technique (especially for beginners) since you're not supposed to use your feet all the time..

Also apparently with concept 2 rowers you can challenge people online to races, anyone try that chit? Sounds interdasting

I used to just run 10ks but I'm bored as fuk of running, don't have motivation anymore.. I just want to do high intensity rowing for like 20-30 min max..

I used to row a lot. 10k

I’d use foot straps. Cheap youtube for form videos.

Start slowly imo. Level 5 or 6.

Yeah, pretty regularly. Pretty great exercise, as it builds lean muscle and is great cardio.
