$87 of groceries
I know inflation is rampant, but the "healthy food is expensive"chit is a meme that needs to die. Even in this day I can feed a family of 4 with a hundred bucks a week.

I could have had this down to less than $80 but my daughter had to poke a thing of corn and somebody wanted brown sugar lol. Subbing things here and there depending on what I need, didn't need meat (pulling from freezer this week) so got bacon and sausage on sale. Chicken breast is double what it used to be but pork butt has been $1.64 to $1.84 a pound for the last 18 months.

Good haul for right now OP. I just spent $50 on meat alone for a few days basically haha. I couldn't believe the price. No deals and up a lot from last week. I'm screwed until I can get a cow or something.

Do most of my grocery shopping at Lidl and Sams Club. Keeps our food costs pretty low and Lidl usually has some pretty good sales on produce.

Maybe my perspective if off, but the food in that cart is feeding a family of 4? For a week?
That looks like the amount of food I buy for myself in a week, and I live alone.
Lets run through the list:
The berries have to get eaten within 48 hours, anything longer than that and they'll start molding.
You bought 1 head of cauliflower and 1 head of broccoli, if you're steaming it that is meal for 1 day
If you're using all the produce as dip for the hummus then you probably should have bought multiple containers of hummus especially for all those carrots. And if the entire family is sharing the hummus thats also a one day snack.
The milk is fine
condiments and spices are meh those normally last for months
and with a family of 4 I guess everyones only eating 1 slice of bacon per day because you clearly didn't buy enough.

3 lbs bacon not enough?
Hummus will probably be eaten by me with celery I got in the fridge at home. Carrots for the kids.
Also, there's food at home and in the fridge from the previous week, you guys shop when your fridge is completely empty? I stock up on chit when cheap. Example-pasta and rice lasts forever. Got a few apples and pears from the previous week. I'm stocked up right now, but even if I had to get more I can keep it to less than $100 a week. Add peanut butter, bread, more milk, pasta, taters, whatever and spread it out....still not going over $120 a week.
I've cut out most junk right now as I'm a bit tight on $$$ right now and chit adds up quick. If I were to grab soda, gold fish crackers, candy, and chips can add an unnecessary $20-30 a week. Fuk that.

Go aldi or start clipping coupons. Go winco if you have one near you for meats, good prices on that.

BTW if I was in Cali I'd probably be able to shave 10-20% off produce. Chit is way way cheaper at the Mexican markets.
