Mood Stabilizer (reps)

Just started taking a mood stabilizer. I’m bipolar or borderline *******s can’t decide. Mental ****ery is getting better already but I feel like a lifeless zombie with no energy. Does this get better or am I gonna end up like Biden….tbfh?

I do get massive ups and downs which basically make me have two personalities - one is top of the world, life and soul of the room. The other one is depressed as fuk, antisocial, dont wanna talk to anyone. And there's no rhyme or reason as to which one I'll be on a given day.

Always been very sceptical of going on meds insofar as I think they do more harm than good

Would be interested to hear what you boys think about meds. Worth it or no?

For me, personally yes NEEDED..I came off meds for 2 years, worst decision of my life. I get angry, moody, destructive, crying, depressed, even delusional if i combine it with drinking, its bad dude its bad..Being on meds im stable, levelheaded most of the time, i do my bursts of anger from time to time but they are rare

Yeah but do you not think your baseline mood has been affected by meds i.e. you actually need them now to stave off the mood swings etc?

Dude always had anger issues, even as a teenager, always had depression, even as a kid...Meds keep me stable and out of depression / mood swings like that. Believe me i am bipolar i know it and accept it now
