3 Americans Found Dead, 1 Hospitalized, at Sandals Bahamas Resort

First heard about this yesterday, looks like the son of the survivor is giving some details now.




CLIFFS:
-Two American couples were staying in a split villa at the Sandals resort in Grand Exuma
-Both couples went to a clinic on Thursday reporting some sort of illness, but were discharged
-3 out of the 4 were found dead in their rooms the following day
-The survivor woke up with swollen arms/legs and she couldn't move but called for help
-The ones who died showed signs of convulsions before death
-Officials still don't know how they died, but said the deaths were "sudden"

Sounds a lot like what happened a few years ago. That one was methanol poisoning I think from tainted drinks?

Didn't this happen in the DR cause those cheap fuks were filling premium bottles of booze with basically homemade gasoline liquor

Oh god damn, didn't even think of that. Seems like they'd probably have to be somewhere off the resort in order for that to happen though, right? Just talking out of my ass here, but I don't think Sandals is in the financial position to need to water down their drinks with poison

i had Ownership stocks at a premium night club, it is not the business doing it. You can sell the bottle/drinks at 4 to 8x their cost.

Reputable places need to keep an eye on the waiters to prevent them from swapping the bottles with bootlegs. You also need to make sure that the glass bottles are properly disposed so they arent sold to bootleg shops which fill them up and sell them to shady places

there are multiple scenarios were it could happen.

I'm surprised this **** doesn't happen more often even in the states.

Worked in restaurants 20+ years. I try to eliminate every cleaner and toxin from access of employees. The only thing I trust people with is liquid dawn dish soap.
