Female Puppy - Name

Our dog died a couple years ago and we're getting around to buying another puppy now. We've had a golden retriever and bulldog. The retriever was an awesome dog and my wife's cousin has 8 week old puppies right now so we're getting one off her. They're out of males, so female it is. Never had a female dog before and I've had lots of dogs growing up.

So a deal was made with our 10 year old daughter that if she hits a home run in softball we'd get her this dog. Of course it would have to be inside the fence. She only ever got a double before this. The first game after we made this deal she put one in the outfield and wiped out on a wet first base and still got a triple. Otherwise would have been a home run. Next game she laid one into the outfield and with her speed rounded all bases to home. The team got a kick out of this when she came off the field screaming she's getting a dog....haha.

Because of our deal and how she got this dog we really wanted to name it Homer but I don't think that's a fitting name for a female. What do you think?

Other names: she wants Dollar. I've mentioned Holley (Holley Carburetors), Mickey (Mickey Thompson), Ridge. Yeah I'm a hillbilly/redneck.

There are definitely some potentials mentioned.

Homer wasn't going to happen. It was just a nice thought before we knew we were getting a female and if it were male it likely would have happened. Dollar was what the kid wanted but neither me or the wife cared for that one. Holley or Miki could definitely be potentials for a female. Ridge was pushing it.

The 3 of us are going to come up with a list me and the wife approve and our daughter can choose from it. Picking puppy up this evening. It's going to be a struggle getting her to go to school tomorrow morning...lol
