Car washing detailing stuff?
What are some your favorite car washing/details tools ?
Looking at one of those foam cannons, do they actually work pretty well. I also got the vac master “beast” vacuum. It a pretty strong little vacuum , recommend it.

- a high quality polisher(like around $500)(I would use it once a year to get out light scratches from washing car(if there are scratches))
- microfiber mitt for washing
- any car soap
I can't wash my car in the drive way so I have to go to the self service station where I hand wash everything. I don't even spray down the car before washing with the mitt.
One product I like, but don't necessarily believe it works, is ONR. I need to see scientific proof that it works, otherwise its just a scam. Because I tested "hydrophobic" sealants and they wen't hydropphobic.

You want a good compound/polish and solid wax. Collonite makes a thick wax. They use it on airplanes. You can top it off with a good sealant like jescar power lock.
Have a good soap if you do it by hand. duragloss is good, the red one. Always do two bucket method. If you have a power washer for contactless, that's even better. Use a soft wool glove and follow up with a claybar. You can use soapy water for lube or spray on diluted optimum no rinse. If you don't have rough paint, you can use pinnacle paint clensing lotion to clean and prep the surface for best wax application.
I bought microfiber and drying rags from the rag company.
Also don't use windex on windows. Use something amonia free like stoners or sprayway to not dry out the rubber edges.

I put the sealant on before the wax, tho. Sealant generally lasts longer.
And don't forget to clay bar before applying your sealant/wax. Just be aware that if you use an aggressive clay on dark paint it can marr it so you will have to polish after claying.
