Numbness All Over Misc. Doctors GTFIH
Can't get an appointment with a neuro until next month (which is crap because you'd figure someone having neuro issues like this should be seen to get it dealt with asap) so I came to the next best place for medical advice.
Anyway I was out of town last weekend for a few playoff hockey games and got quite drunk and woke up one morning numb mostly on my left side. I messed up my neck pretty good benching a year or two ago and it's been on and off since. I always seem to retrigger that every few months or so and can't move my neck for a week before it improves. But, this is the first time I've ever had numbness all over. After a few days of when it started I would say 90% of it went away but now the numbness and tingling seems to be completely random. I usually wake up in the morning feeling pretty good minus some light numbness around my left arm/hand and maybe foot. Throughout the day it'll bounce between arms, legs, feet, and sometimes a bit of tingling in the face which is what's throwing me off. Concentrated on the left but happens on both sides. Sitting puts my entire lower body to sleep at work but if I'm up and moving I usually feel fine. Almost like my old sciatica came back and while it is more on that side it does show up on both. No strength issues but I'm avoiding the gym for now outside of some cardio until this gets figured out. My bloodwork always comes out normal but I'll be due for my yearly stuff next month so I'll get updated numbers. I did do a piss test that showed up normal so kidney or liver damage isn't likely. I will say I've been the poster child for the weekend warrior for about 10 years so alcoholic neuropathy did cross my mind but based on what I've said my Dr. didn't think that would be the case. Either way booze has been cut out entirely for now. Minus an upcoming Vegas trip there will probably be no booze this summer just to give my liver a break anyway since it could use one. I've also grabbed some B12 and Benfotiamine/B1 that I just started in case I have a B vitamin deficiency which would make some sense considering the boozin. My multi habits have been intermittent at best until recently.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that's dealt with this here so any ideas? No pain or anything it's just really obnoxious to deal with. And I'd prefer to not stress about this for another month until my appointment.
