The Northman ending was deep AF, who caught it?[obv SPOILERS]

obviously this will have spoilers.

So the ending was all about the Valkyrie carrying him off into the eternal life.

The whole thing was a metaphor for him realizing that his baby momma was the "Valkyrie" and his "eternal life" was his 2 children that would carry on his family tree/bloodline.

Thought that was such a beautiful take on what the mythology behind the viking death could really mean.

I mean it is true that our children are our legacy and the only true non religious based way we carry on our "life" after death.

It is also only a woman who can carry that bit out of life into the afterlife.

Maybe men spend their whole life looking for purpose to their life and an afterlife when in reality its just our human nature to breed and reproduce and teach our offspring to carry on better lives than we did. Our whole life up to that point is just learning and securing a better future for out bloodline and DNA.
