Life has sucked lately. Good spot to gather for some R&R?
Life has really been a b!tch lately. Last 5-6 years seemed liked everything was going on the downward trend. Had a decent last 2-3 years, but this last year it seemed everything got back in that downward trend - and fast.
I feel like I kind of need to do a 'reset' in myself. I'm 31, no kids (thankfully), in Real Estate (so sticking in my area is a bit important due to having clients and already knowing the area). Most of my friends I knew have left the area which doesn't help the situation.
But I've been thinking about uprooting and trying to find another area. I'm in SWFL, so prices here are just below Miami prices.... aka, a lot!
I want to try to take a little R&R (rest & relaxation) to clear my head a bit out of the area. Everything I'm seeing ain't so cheap. I'm 20 minutes from the beach, but growing up on the beach, it's not really it.
Ideas for a cheap, semi-cheap 3-4 day relaxation place? Pluses in the mountain area. Evening using Skiplag, it's like $1000 for a weekend anywhere. Crazy.

I get the need to be close (wife is a realtor) but a few days you should be able to manage out of pocket.
We road tripped to Arkansas a couple months back and stayed in an air bnb. Was just what we needed srs.
Look at nearby states with mountains, find an Airbnb with solid reviews and go for it brah.

But badass dude, there’s a lot of cool spots for reasonably affordable compared to resorts and a lot of hotels from what we were finding.

It’s expensive, but do yourself a favor and just go to Hawaii. No better place in the world for letting stress melt away.
It’s also not even that expensive depending on where you live. I usually can get flights from the west coast for $300 round trip that I pay off in points. You can get an Airbnb in Waikiki for $90/night.
