how to not get cucked?

When I was a wee lass I tried flirting with a petite brunette. She was so cute, but so mean, and very straight. Some boy who acted like a dick took her. Years later I flirted with her again, she was mean again and the same dumbass took her again and dumped her again.

While I like the look of a feminine lesbian, I'm thinking that going after a butch lesbian might actually make for a more satisfying relationship because dudes are less likely to steal my woman.
