How much % should I put down

for a house?

If I can do 50% should I just do 50%

Plan on a 15 year mortgage initially buy paying it off asap

At the minimum, a years worth of mortgage expenses plus a major fix expense in liquid funds

The rest depends on your market outlook... no one knows. If you think the market is going to rebound or go bullish again it makes sense to put less down and invest. If you think that were still in for stagnant growth it makes more sense to put more down and pay less interest
