I swear dudes in philly would spend all day at their house looking out the window for people parking on their street. One time my neighbor put cones in front of my house to save a parking spot. Just threw them away and parked there and waited for his him to spaz like a little chit.

I mean if you all park in the same spot every single day for days on end I can understand his frustration. That's why I'd never live anywhere that had street parking.

I'm not saying the tradie is right, but I will say that I understand his frustration. Yes it's a public road, but that doesn't mean you need to be a prick about where you park your car, either. Seems like the home owner probably parked in front of the tradie's house for no reason. Either that, or the tradie is just a crazy bastard.
There are about 3 total spaces worth of parking space on the road in front of my house. I seldom park my own car on the road, but when I do, that's where I do it (in front of my house), and where any of my guests park. It's called common courtesy.
I used to have neighbors who lived directly across from me who would routinely have guests over that needlessly parked their cars on the road in front of my house, or park their 2nd vehicle of their own there. Also, the tradie husband almost ALWAYS parked his huge work van directly behind my driveway, which made it a pita for me to back out of my driveway - again, while leaving 2 - 3 parking spots worth of available road open in front of their own house.
Did I ever confront them over it or freak out about it? Of course not. Did it annoy the me and make me think less of them? Absolutely. That type of behavior is a pretty clear sign that someone is a self-centered douchebag. These are things that normal, decent, civilized people take into consideration when choosing how they act in their own neighborhood/towards their neighbors. It's not complicated. Fortunately, those kents moved away about half a year ago, and the new neighbors who bought the place never pull that type of bs.

I agree with tradie. The mfer should have moved his car after "his street" was finished being cleaned. Parking in front of someone elses house is the biggest dbag thing. I can understand in degen inner city parts its harder but if you own the house no one should park in front of it regardless of it being public.

And then you have to deal with criminal case, even if justified.
And then you have to deal with civil case, which is much easier to lose.

They would do it while leaving spots in front of their own house just ahead of them empty/partially open by having the asss end of their pickup parked in front of my house. Sometimes they'd even still park their car behind mine when I pulled into the second space further away from my driveway. Why not just park in front of the dude's house who took 'your' spot, he still had to walk all the way dudes house.
This was back when I used to have to park my car there before getting the driveway properly fixed (the driveway was pretty fukked up from the previous owners of my house before I had it replaced). It started to really piss me off eventually, so I started intentionally parking my car in a manner that took up both spots in front of my house. Every chance I got, I purposelly made it as big of a pita for them to park in front of my house as possible.
After about 2 months of them passive aggressively battling me about it by continuing trying to do it, they finally took the hint and stopped doing that chit. They've stuck to keeping their vehicles in front of their own place ever since. If they ever tried that chit again, I'd go right back to making it a pita for them even though I park in my garage/driveway 99% of the time now lol
