At my job you get 10% shift differential if your hours involve the evening and early night times. You get 15% if you work the graveyard hours. Also if you work the graveyard hours, you get to work 4x10's instead of 8x5's. NGL that all sounds pretty pharking appealing to me, srs.

Worked midnights for 6 months when I first got out of college. Pay was really good but 100% not worth it.
It screwed my sleep schedule up for years

I did during my first job after college. Kind of weird and out of touch. I think more like >50% pay is needed to make up for the inconvenience.

Perhaps trading overseas markets or something would not feel so annoying.

All other factors being equal , people that work night shift die 5 years earlier than those that don't.

enjoy your .25 shift differential.

Have a friend who did night shifts. He now has low grade chronic insomnia. On the plus side if he does need to stay up all night for whatever reason, he can and it doesn't stress him.

bruh i made 40-43k a year when I worked night shifts as a cop 6pm to 6am

cops and nurses ARE low wage jobs especially after the past 2 years when everyone else got raises but not nurses and cops, my bosses try and tell me to do stuff right now and I am literally like, yeah whenever I am getting paid more than gas station workers I will actually put forth effort again but just lol @ what we get paid now. Its a fukking joke.

I only do it for double time, with a paid leave day following. So 3x pay total. Healthcare gang. No way worth it for any less.

same situation as healthcare past few years. They are pushing the good will of the staff. And I'm pretty sure there are laws here that force you if you work on health. Example is no strikes.
