Two things always bothered me about this scene:

First of all, why couldnt they put some weight on the lid so he could get up like how Indiana Jones switched that artifact with something of equal weight. If you say that the trigger was too weight sensitive, you constantly shift your weight while on the throne.

Second, why is everyone acting like it doesn't smell like chit? The message was on the TP so he was already done chitting when he noticed it. And he wouldn't be crazy enough to flush knowing that the toilet is rigged but not exactly how.
