misc, what does “success” look like to you?

In other words, what makes someone truly successful? Cars? Money? A big house? Genuine happiness and satisfaction?

I think success is extremely subjective (obviously) and is really only found in the eye of the beholder. i.e. obtain long term goals consistently = success.

Your thoughts? Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

We are all digging our own grave, eventually

That's if you succeed. Most likely you'll just be turned to ash

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women

Its all relative. But for me 'success' will be 150-250K per year in passive income. 3 boats. 3 motorcycles. Lifted diesel F250, Jeep or Bronco with no top/doors needed and a 'fast' car in the garage. I want to spend my summers spearfishing/diving/boating. Between seasons riding motorcycles/dirt-bikes/side-by-sides off road. And my winters hunting and snowboarding. But most importantly I just want the freedom to do whatever I want when I want.

Everyone has their own interpretation of what 'success' entails. For myself personally:

1. If you've set goals for yourself in life, whatever they may be, and worked hard to achieve those goals over time, and you realize that all of your hard work, dedication, and sacrifice is now paying off.

2. When you go to sleep at night and you're actually looking forward to tomorrow and not dreading it.

Freedom. When you can just blast off to Bali for a week still making money and not even thinking about the cost of anything....that's when you're top tier successful.

When you get older your perspective changes. I feel successful because I do what I pretty much want to do every day and don't mind at all what I do to make money. Have a great girlfriend and get laid whenever I want and my kids are happy and healthy. I'm not rich, but I'm comfortable.

Pretty much this, and what someone wants varies from person to person... so each persons measurement of success will be subjective

For me it would be entirely living off passive income, travelling the world, pursuing life's pleasures to the fullest, finding someone that I see beauty in, and perhaps contributing to something greater than myself

To be a man that does the will and is lead by God. Everything else is vanity, and will never bring you true joy.
Sure money can bring happiness for a period, but ultimately, if a man or woman is not rooted in the Lord, their life will not be successful.

Elevating your family by being rewarded for adding value to the world, building on what your parents set up for you, having kids and giving them what they need to continue that upward trend, and being loved by the people who are important to you right up until you have both feet in the grave
