Bullet performance through old style plate-glass windows?

How do certain popular self-defense rounds behave when passing through windows, specifically the old dangerous kind made from plate glass, not that safety glass stuff?

All I can find is people discussing the best bullets to shoot better through glass, which is the opposite of what I want to know. I don't want to have a round fly through a window in my house if I have to shoot. Do hollowpoints mushroom (no homo) and rapidly lose velocity after hitting a window? Because it's not fluid like a human. There's a ton of tests against drywall and stuff but no windows.
Would kick em in the nuts
