It is what it is, as long as you deliver results you can keep your workday to a few hours and even take some vacation days for free.
people who work from home focus on delivering results while the typical officecels work on looking like they work, slaving away in a cubicle and wasting hours on commute

Have to agree, working from home is the best. I’m glad that Covid normalized it, otherwise I would probably be stuck going into the office 3-4x a week.

Exactly. If you deliver results then take some chill time.
Gym or walk at lunch. Then make and eat lunch on the clock. No washing and drying clothes at the weekend.

I had a conference call today
It was 45 mins
Then I checked out for the day
I work about 3-4 hours a week now

Yep feels like I’m retired half the time Lmao. One of my good friends works for Dell as a Project Manager and he travels all over the world while still working remote. There be weeks where he literally has 0 work and half his projects also get canceled 90 percent of the time

Genuine question for people who work from home.
Do you feel you are overlooked for promotions because of out of sight out of mind?
My position was elevated quite quickly and surprisingly during COVID - One other person and I were the only 2 in our office to come into work during the pandemic.

It is normal that Senior managers are promoting employees that they know and for fully remote organizations that means they are promoting people who were in their teams pre pandemic

less money due to inflation. If you haven't gotten a raise since 2020 you're making like 20% less

Pre-COVID I was in the office 3 days a week.
2020 through 2022 fully remote.
Now we're doing office once a month.
WFH = get chores done while on the clock, save time and gas on commute, wear whatever you want, eat from your kitchen, give your pets more attention, misc/game/movies/YouTube on the clock, use your own bathroom. All for the same pay. Also it makes me WANT to do overtime more often.

I love that wfh life. Been doing it since 2017. As long as you’re valuable and your job isn’t easily replaceable you’re solid. lol at Musk and other homos telling people to go back into the office. High level talent will leave Tesla and pick up any of the plentiful high paying jobs that require said talent.
