ITT: a photo of my recently homebrewed German hefeweizen
I modelled this one after Weihenstephaner, my favorite hefeweizen. It actually defied my expectations and came out much better than I thought it would. It's light and crisp with a really soft mouthfeel. The latter point isn't surprising considering that 40% of my grain bill was wheat. It has light clove and banana notes from the hefe yeast I used. Overall, this is a fantastic summer beer that you can drink in the sun. Very refreshing and at 5.25% ABV you can have a few and not get completely destroyed.

Currently have a homebrewed Vienna lager that just ended at 6% ABV and is about to begin it's lagering process for 2 months or so.
Cheers

*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

i've drunk gallons of that beer so i know exactly what that tastes like
which is undialed tbh
traditional german yeasts with that clove/banana/bubblegum flavor are kinda groce if consumed in manly amounts
u should do the same exact process with a wide range of yeasts and see if you create something new and dialed srs

That looks delicious 🤤
I still haven’t opened the mead I made. The contents keep getting darker and cloudier but it stills smells like citrus. I am thinking I need to filter, maybe move to a barrel?

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Over the summer, I bottled my blueberry/blackberry and sipped it by the fire. It didn't last long. So cottamn smooth after nearly 2 years of aging. My father filters is wines. I've never done that. You could give filtering and a barrel a shot but it might not be necessary. That looks delicious
