Can’t tell if this was a real holiday celebrated by most black ppl for years or just pushed recently by the woke lib crowd

Yeah, went to a Baptist church in Dallas yesterday and there was a huge celebration, along with Father's Day fun. They seem to go all out, it's fun!

That doesn't make it predominantly celebrated by Baptists.

I owned a club in Texas and my customers weren't predominantly Baptists, and I promise you they partied even harder than the gay church you attended.

People celebrated it with bbq and getting drunk at lakes. I avoided it. It reminds me of the LatinX crap. Totally made up just to push agendas and for politicians to win brownie points by pretending they care. I only remember it maybe three years back?

I enjoy opinions, I don't particularly enjoy statements with nothing to back them up, which is why I'm usually asking people to say more or if they'd like to say more, to explain their position, etc. I am also not the only person who has said this is a weird thing to get worked up about, and I've even agreed with someone else about making this a state holiday. We're all allowed to weigh in, I'm going to roll my eyes when people post and don't back up their ideas.
