Ever Dropped a Friend/ Friend group?

Recently deleted ******** off my phone. Known these guys since I was a child, still get on with them. The chat is pretty much just foreign politics and conspiracy sh** and moaning about stuff/ bashing people, very negative. Used to mute it and then have to read through the messages in case I was mentioned or we were having a meet up say once every 6 months.

I don't like that my phone can ping and I'm sat their reading some one else views, focus, ideas, emotions etc. Attention is a valuable thing.

I've also started reading the misc much less, but the difference is here I can decide how much or how little time I want to spend on it.

The thing is these guys are all sound one on one, but in groups its degenerate stuff.

Actually feel like my mind is clearer already.

Got me curious, have you ever dropped a friend group, even a chat group or changed friends groups and how did it go?

Ive known this guy since elementary school and he was a nut during those days. He used to slam doors, tables, throw other kids shoes etc. I used to do that as well (I was a kid lmao) He was jacked af and he still is (probably roids) so yeah we went to this concert he I and this other guy and this concert was near this one fun fare. So immediately when we approached this fun fare he started yelling "fun fare lets gooo" and he started running like a little kid towards those spinning wheels or whatever you call them. Decided to go to concert alone after that. I experienced some embarrassing moments in my life Im proud to say that but that **** probably topped everything.

I cut off my friends who used drugs, which was several, so I could quit drugs. Worth it.

I also quit the misc discord because they didn't appreciate my humour, the foolish ingrates

Yeah sometimes you have to leave a group to grow as a person.

I have no problem with people doing drugs/ drinking but when it's the persons biggest hobby/characteristic is seems pathetic and limiting.
