Hey misc check out what I got my dad for his bday
My dads turning 65, has always done a bang up job being my dad and deserves something pretty cool. When he graduated high school his dad bought him a 74 Dodge Charger that’s he’s always regretted selling. After pain staking research I was able to locate the car, still original (minus wheels in the pic, but originals came with it) and buy it back to give to him. It’s got 84,xxx miles, 318 v8 and 3 speed on the column, drives like an absolute dream. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and starts treatments soon so I thought this would be something for him to spend time on since he won’t be able to cowboy for awhile. The car has some flaws as it’s all original but it’s in really good shape for being damn near 50 years old. I’m on mobile so if the pics won’t work right per usual I’ll rep for fixing it. Enjoy!

Sounds like an awesome gift to me. I couldn't figure out what was up with the pic.

Cool ride OP. I had a 73 SE with a 400 and the slap shift on the floor . Was a pretty sweet car , but didn’t corner well at high speeds

What a thoughtful thing to do. The story behind it, along with the effort you put in to find the exact vehicle and what your dad is dealing with right now, really makes it special. Thank you for sharing this.

What a great story. Have you given it to him yet? What was his reaction? I would probably cry some manly tears (srs).
My dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had the whole thing cut out about 6 weeks ago, he's still recovering.
I wish you both all the best
