27? I was still a complete retard at that age. IMO most of the people who are 25 and appear to have it together are completly full of shyt, and if they are not, you probably don't know them anyway, since they're the low-key types who are happy to just stay home and live as a couple and not mingle with the retards.
The truth is that if you know somebody who is 'better off than you', they are pulling wool over your eyes, since a person who is emotionally mature and normal would never try and make another feel inferior or brag about accomplishments - and this is a requirement for having a healthy and sustainable relationship...
All these 'power players' and 'power couples' who you think are successful are most likely having crappy family lives and just stick it out to make people like you feel bad, so that they can feel good.

I thought I’d have a mortgage, a wife, 2 cars (one for the weekend), 2 holidays abroad a year and a happy life by this age. 30 next week and I have nothing, although I’ve learned I don’t want a wife because I no longer believe in marriage.

I turned 27 this month too.
TBH the number is irrelevant. It's how you're aging that's relevant.
If you're balding, noticing the hairline receding, then yeah you're gonna look older and hate it. But look at solutions such as those used by AWSbruh or Elon Musk, who were balding and did something about it.
Keep hydrated, party only once a week tops, don't let yourself out into the sun too much. You'll be fine.
As I age I like to remember the ages of actors society deemed hot. Paul Walker was about 27 in the first The Fast and the Furious movie. Brad Pitt was 33-34 in Fight Club. Johnny Depp was like 39 or 40 in the first Pirates of the Caribbean.

Married and divorced (together 10 years). Just out of a long-term relationship (3yrs). I just turned 37. No kids. Good job. Own place. Time to start again. It fkn sucks man but it is what it is ...
