Ken Griffin: Richest in Chicago moves to Florida

https://blockclubchicago.org/2022/06...ters-to-miami/
DOWNTOWN — Billionaire Ken Griffin is moving to Miami and is taking his company with him, leaving Chicago after more than three decades.

The head of Chicago-based hedge fund Citadel told staff in a recent memo he was moving the company’s headquarters and its related securities division to Miami. Roughly 300 employees are expected to fill the new Miami office in that city’s financial district in about a year, according to a company spokesperson.

“Miami is a vibrant, growing metropolis that embodies the American Dream — embracing the possibilities of what can be achieved by a community working to build a future together,” Griffin wrote.
Well, another one bites the dust in Chicago - though I don't know why it took this man this long to finally leave.

It's even worse than that. Caterpillar left south near Peoria to Deerfield a few years back. Now they are leaving to go to Texas. That was a major company for that area and college students around that area. Brought a lot of business. Ditched Peoria, and now ditching Deerfield like 3 years later.

Boeing is also leaving Chicago to go to Virginia.

IL and Chicago is done. Crime and politics just destroyed Chicago and it will slowly die out into nothing unless things change.

I need to try to get my family to all move out of state somewhere to rebuild because IL is done.

Will the people of that state learn and vote for change? Probably not.

Sure they have a whole slew of mental gymnastic responses as to why this isn't an issue for the state & why they're leaving is a "good" thing.

Ken Griffin already has a house in Palm Beach, FL so the location isn't really a big surprise. My buddy was a cop in PB and Ken paid for a cop to be at his house 24/7 for security. He showed me photos of the Koenigsegg Regera in the garage among other insane cars. Good for him for moving out of that chithole.

It wasn't long ago where someone complained in a press conference to the Chicago mayor that the high crime in the city was greatly hurting business. I remember soon after that complaint, Chicago officials punished the guy for embarrassing the mayor it was said. High crime is hurting Chicago in many ways though and this is further proof of that. Hope Chicago eventually works to lower crime rates. I'm guessing the won't though. The Democrats that run Chicago will likely stick with their old explanation of crime being caused by racism and they can't do much about that.
