Having money after a certain age isn't very special.

Srs.

I'm saying this as a single guy in his mid 30s. I've only had significant amounts of money for about 4-5 years, and due to some good investments and a couple big commissions over the last 6 months, I'm at a position where I truly don't need to work and could go something like 7-10 years now living comfortably off of savings.

Yes, lack of stress makes life a lot more comfortable. But you don't have a lot of peers in the same situation, as most aren't independently wealthy. End up doing a lot of things alone, and friendships suffer as a result. I can find people to do things for short periods of time with, but I'm just not in a similar place to a lot of people so there's no real way to relate. And lack of money is a big motivational factor for overall life, as I just don't have the same drive as many of the guys I'm hanging out with nowadays, so I'm never the one winning the competition for girls we're hanging out with.

And most girls nowadays don't seem to give much of a fuk about how much money a guy has. They're certainly not going to choose a mediocre looking guy with ok social skills and lots of money over a good looking guy with great social skills and just a little bit of money.

Starting to think I should put my money into some account that I can't touch for another 10 years and keep working on myself more.

If you have friends from the past who treat you the same since you have built your wealth, then I would keep them around srs. Having a circle of friends you trust is more and more important the older I get I'm finding.

If not, I would say to just work on yourself like you said and find more entrepreneurial friends or friends who are absolutely devoted to their craft srs.

enjoy it while you can.

even very wealthy people come down with depression and lack the ability to enjoy anything regardless of the amount of money they can spend to purposefully try to have enjoyment.

if you still enjoy, try that.

Yes, it's true. I guess the main motivation for the post was specific to females in 2022. At least in the circles I run in, money doesn't seem to matter at all to girls because they're either confident they will have their own, or just aren't really interested in being some rich wife. Maybe a few years of a soul crushing job in a bad economy will change this thinking.

welcome to the world of the real

your eyes have been opened - the desire for excessive materialism is an illness

nice things are nice - yes

but they are not all that matters.

great that you have cash. save it, stack it. never worry about money again

work on yourself. your mind, and how you talk - socialise. that might be holding you back yes around women.

in today's world they don't care about your money and job because they have their own. BUT they still want your money and theirs.

of course they will always go for the guy that makes them feel something - regardless of what he has (they might not marry him though).

so work on you brah. you look to be in a good position to start. and the right age

find a good woman, settle down somewhere conservative and start a family one day. that will also bring purpose to your life. and the money you have will for sure help - and mean something

Imo money won’t matter, in a sense, in my lifetime.

If the globalists are successful, by 2040 your fat portofolio well mean nothing. Even if we’re wealthy at that point, what we are allowed to spend it on and can do with it will be totally dependent on what they allow.

We’re clearly on that projection, time will tell I suppose

Money matters in what you do to get it and what you do with it, taking 7-10 years off is a bad idea and will just lead to a rot spiral

Scoop up a mortgage on a $3m property, overextend yourself a bit and that'll bring back your motivation

pretty much this op. Use it as a tool and to not have to worry about money. That's a huge factor to majority of people's stress.

Use it as an opportunity to focus on your health and socializing. Avoid gold diggers and never flaunt your wealth - It's an empty pursuit.

I grew up in a middle class area but have gone on to be like lower upper maybe. Almost all of my friends stayed in the exact same spot in life, working dead end jobs with zero ambition. Anytime I hang out with them they always bring up my money and land. How I should give them some or let them come park a trailer in the back somewhere so they can live there. Same jokes every time, I love my friends but that chit is annoying af.

Money is important if you plan to start a family.

But you are correct in your observation. Good look & great social skill >> millionaire with avg look & avg social skill when it comes to hooking up.

Just look at Gordon, for example. He's got 5 mil but all he does is take a creeper shot of 3/10s while jerking off to sleep alone

Experiences are pretty much all I spend money on. That's why I spend so much time around the type of females who don't really care about money and would prefer a fun charismatic guy.

Depends how much money you have and how you spend it.

If you want women you can have whatever women you want. Seeking.com

Money can get you whatever you want literally. Want a prime 18 yr old to drain your balls every single day? Go to seeking lol. Also $1 mil isn’t that much $. It’s more than most people have but honestly not that special. If you had $5 mil then I’d say you were golden.

Use that money to pursue a challenge. Like an academic pursuit. Get a PhD. Write a book, learn an instrument. Paint, draw. Photography. Become a master at something and challenge yourself.

I feel you brah. I am lucky to have enough money to remove a lot of day to day stress in life (forgot my packed lunch at home? $15 at a restaurant ain't chit. etc...), but it is definitely pleb money. I can't even support a family on my income.

Frankly, money doesn't buy what it used to these days. It fukking sucks. I'd say the first "life changing" amount of money would be enough to independently raise a family, which starting from scratch these days probably takes $200k/yr. The next step after that, mogger money where people start treating you differently? I've never crossed that bridge, but I'm guessing the Porsche and Neiman Marcos life starts around $500k/yr cashflow.

I agree that $1m isn't a huge number, but I also have a high income and will inherit a substantial amount of family money so it's probably enough to coast for a while if I really wanted it to.

You don't need $200k to raise a family. Some of you are delusional. The median household income is $73k

Good luck feeding 3 or 4 mouths with $10/lb chicken on $73k income. There's a reason every married couple under 30 I know is delaying children.

You either look like a troll or are making excuses for yourself. If you have the kind of money you are insinuating, are decent looking, and have the time.....then there should be NO issue with females. They dont need to know how much money you have or dont have.....they can just sense something is different.

So the girls I'm around can obviously tell by my lifestyle that I have money. But for some reason I'm often still the odd man out when it comes to the crew getting laid.

You have to give more context into wtf you are talking about. When you say "experiences" what exactly do you mean?
If you are placing yourself in positions were you are able to travel, do cool things, push yourself, and continue to learn.......and you still cant connect with females.....then you either look like a troll or your personality might be chit.
