Im considering roofing as a part time gig. Tried my hand at roofing for the first time and realized just how unhealthy the majority of the US is.
If you just sit back and relax, your body will start to rot - bones get weaker, muscles shrink, cardiovascular system goes to chit, the brain also goes to mush.
So if I owned 5 houses, I would still do hard labor a couple of times a month and do hard mental workout(studying, learning). But the income would give me a luxury amenities when I'm not working.

I am the opposite. Have a hard time socializing due to work. So i would probably take up a bunch of random hobbies i enjoy to socialize. Due some fun stuff like learn to fly and sky diving too.

At various points I’ve owed up to 5 houses with inconsequential mortgages or no mortgage and have continued working
Mainly because my job pays me a lot of money for little work

You’d probably have to work for a while still until they generated a good amount of income.
If they were all somehow paid off? I would probably still work part time for a social outlet, but mostly I’d spend my time working on art, writing, and creative projects

I do own 5 houses. And yes, I still work a ton.
Honestly, I could do absolutely nothing if I really wanted to, but life gets fuking boring if you don't have consistent routines. Work has a lot of different functions outside of money.
