WTF is with grown men and SW/Marvel/DC obsession?

Is this an American man-child thing? I don't know anyone in real life who likes these movies. Even those who occasionally watch this stuff admit they're junk or children's movies.

I just heard Christian Bale is starring in a recent one. Wasn't he Batman not long ago? WTF? Who's next, DiCaprio, DeNiro, Daniel Day Lewis, Denzel, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson?

It may be shocking to you, but they're actors who are doing their job by...acting.

God forbid actors do projects because they like the character.

If we were on Reddit, you would be the most upvoted.

My point is, actors like Bale used to star in good movies, not man-children movies.

To be honest most of them on that list could do with the work.

Bit of a moot point close to 50 years after Sir Alec Guinness played Obi-Wan, 20+ years after Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart played in X-Men and so on.

Seems you have an issue with serious actors not being uppity enough to brush off comic book movies.

Does this include when they are standing on soap boxes preaching gun control, vaxx mandates, or any other political topic?
Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.

Because the characters were popular when many of us old-cels were kids. We followed the comics/TV shows, ect. It is cool to see them adapted to film. Overall a lot of the Marvel movies are solid, with Infinity War and End Game being great. Way better than most chit that gets put out these days.

They were pretty cool 5 years or more ago, but now I kind of feel there is too many of them and they've lost their novelty also all the story lines are linked so you can't keep up with whats going on unless you literally watch them all

Strong defense to avi ratio lmao

I feel the same really, but people like what they like. My KIDS like it lol. I just don't have much of an ability to suspend disbelief. I don't watch much TV period, much less movies about comic books.

So I am not a big movie guy at all but these movies keep you interested in them because of the action. There is so much going on and so much to see on screen that they suck you in.
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Iron Man was really popular. It definitely changed around the Avengers because they had some success and that was when they announced they were going to to the whole universe concept of lots of movies that all tie into the same plotline

millenial here

every time some random obscure superhero movie comes out, I dont get all these people acting like they been reading it all the time. When I was a kid in the 90s I hardly knew anyone with comic books. THere was an X men cartoon on TV and that was about it. Now everyone acts like they been following the saga of Green Lantern's second cousin biracial feminist lesbian super hero all along for the last 25 years. The fuk you fauding for nobody ever heard of that chit. There was a batman cartoon, there was an xmen cartoon and that was about it. Superman had no cartoons, no movies, nothign in the 90s. it had gotten so stale they killed him off and brought him back to life to generate headlines. And those are the top comic books. much less all this obscure crap nobody heard of.
