POV videos of McDonald’s worker. Pretty interesting.

This guys channel is actually really nice. He’s an owner/operator at McDonald’s for 10+ years and cares a lot of about his job. I don’t eat this garbage but this guys channel is great, and he makes videos of him doing everything you can do in the back of a McDonalds. It definitely makes me respect this work.

That is an example of a leader, not just a boss.

I hate this but when you tell people you work someplace like McDonalds, Walmart, or anything like that people think it's not a real job and they you are a loser. Low jobs so to speak. Honestly they are great places to turn your life around if you have been a loser and you can actually go pretty far there.

His videos show just how faced paced and high demand the job actually is. Obviously not worth the pay for a regular employee who’s not a kid though, but definitely not easy and it’s clearly mentally draining.

I don't know any chain fast food with healthy items.

Either sugar or sodium in ungodly amounts, if not worse

I'm disgusted by the fact that he touches food to food with the gloves, and uses the same tongs for all the foods--no separation.

What a sloppy shop. Definitely would not eat at his McDonalds

They dumb it down as much as they can and make it pretty idiot proof. But a busy restaurant requires very quick thinking and moving.

One comparison I remember being made (It’s a fairly big disservice to the learning required for the medical field IMO) at one of the 2 Michelin spots I was at is the most similar job to being a line cook is a surgeon. When it comes to quick thinking, retaining lots of specific information about what’s going on, quick decisions, accurate plating etc.. when you have 30 tickets piled up and problems all over the place and special requests etc.. just keeping it cool doing the job correct and making sense of the massive information overload.

Tongs should only be separated by ones for cooked food and uncooked food.

Gloves are disgusting and should never be allowed. In theory I’m sure it’s fine, but it ends up being only for optics and the people who use them don’t wash their hands frequently enough or at the right time.

Mcdonald's used to have employees cut & cook their own fries & beef etc etc

It tasted way, way better

They charged $0.25 for a small burger, fries & drink

They used to fry their fries and anything else in animal fat, then switched to vegetable oil in the early 90's. You could feel it lining your arteries back then. srs

Yeah but it wasn't as big of a deal & it tasted a lot better

Burgers were half the size(actual fresh veggies), a large fry was today's small & a large soda was 16oz

I'm pretty sure a large soda today is 40oz+

and i looked it up. i was 4 years old in 1990

also i thought they had switched over to never frozen

also only chain like place around me growing up that cut and cooked their own fries was Ranch 1

i call bull**** on how he keeps changing his gloves every time he touches the frozen fried food. he knows he has to because someone could try and call the health department on him. but i would bet 1k dollars he does not do that when he doesnt have a camera on or expect his co-workers too

I totally get people who hate McDonald's and would never eat there

But I respect that they are the best at what they do (serving hot relatively cheap food within a matter of minutes with consistent quality all over the world)

not that fat bae. me and my brother are the same height. i always been thicker than him. plus after a while you start feeding your self. also started working in restaurants. that meant a lot of dinner food, drinking and drugs and barely sleeping.
