Everything is in your head
No one experiences reality like you do. You and I can look at a row of trees, or know the same person, or look at the same work of art and have vastly different experiences of them.
We are, moment by moment, creating our entire realities, our entire life experiences, and no two are the same.
Most people do this unconsciously and are a the whims of the external world, of other people, of circumstances. Their mental states are determined by things outside of them.
It is possible to create your desired internal mental state, then watch as the world around you changes exactly according to your state.
For some things this can take a lot of time. For others, it's immediate.
One thing I've started doing is, first thing in the morning, I go outside, look around, and get deeply into a state of gratitude for everything I have in my life. The important thing is to truly feel deep gratitude and then just bask in that feeling as much as you can, as deeply as you can.
From there, the rest of my days are beautiful, every part of them. Seemingly bad things happen externally, but they don't shake me.
There is a huge difference between just being grateful for things in your life, and actually focusing intensely on them and the feeling they produce in you, then focusing on that feeling and amplifying and expanding that feeling throughout every cell of your body. It takes focus and effort and discipline. Once you get good at it you become unshakable.
You are responsible for your emotional state. No one else is. If you don't let them, other people are utterly incapable of altering your emotional state.
Life is really beautiful once you not only realize the truth in this, but actively take total responsibility for every little thing in your life, even if it is logically possible to blame some things on other people or external circumstances.
Stop being such a pussy. It's really, truly pathetic, and you're giving all of your power away to others.
Everything you experience is 100% your responsibility, and you have the power to change any and all of it.
We are ultimately creators of reality. Moment by moment we create our experiences. If you're not happy, it's 100% your fault, and it is 100% possible right now to change all of it, immediately.

I agree with everything that you've said and i'd also like to add that the way that you perceive reality is never just the way that you see it, but the way that people who are of a similar karmic structure see it also - look into the hermetic principles and let me know if you need help understanding how they work.
