When I was 15 I had my first girlfriend and didn't want to miss any chance at make out sessions. She said she had a cold sore that was about to be over but I didn't care I just wanted to make out.

Wish I knew then what I know now ha.

Got HSV1 on my dink at around 23, was devastated. Had an outbreak and it was the worst man. Didn't know I even had it, or how I got it before GF at the time also had symptoms. Felt so bad she got it, but also felt bad because it burned to piss for like 4 days.

But both herself and myself pretty much never saw HSV1 outbreaks again ever since. The antibodies or whatever still show up in my blood, testing positive for HSV1, but I've never had an outbreak in the last 4 years or so, srs.

The real danger is getting HSV2. That one is particularly bad, much more reoccurring / aggressive. Don't have that one thankfully.

They say a lot of people have HSV1 without ever knowing it or having symptoms / outbreaks ever again. Think I might be one that falls into that category, crossing fingers. They say it's only spreadable if it's active, and there's only an outbreak if it's active. So no outbreaks = no more spreading?

I have a cold sore middle, under my lip atm, hidden pretty well by the beard.

My dilemma is currently that it's almost healed, but Friday I'm supposed to meet my fkbuddy, and saturday i got a hinge date (fk is on the table), shes visiting me from 2 hours away (lol). Hoping it's cleared up by then.
