I need to start taking control and putting together legitimate plans and goals for near and mid-term future. Nothing is destroying my life right now, but I honestly feel overwhelmed sometimes and am currently very reactive to life, as opposed to proactive. I don't like life being completely in charge of me. I understand no "plan" will be exactly the same a day, week, or year from now, but I would like to really start getting better at scheduling things, setting a roadmap/guidance for goals, and taking charge.

My question is then (ironically) what's your plan for this?

Often your goals for the next 6 months will align quite well with simply your goals for the week. Planning where you want to be in 1 year can be overwhelming, but spending minimal time on considering what you can do in the upcoming days/week could set you in motion.

Have you considered setting aside just 15mins / day to thinking about what you want to achieve the following day? And/or set aside 30mins Sunday afternoons to consider your goals and priorities in the coming week?
