Is there really such a thing as a natty limit?

To an extent, a physique that's only obtainable with gear for one person may be totally natty attainable for another. Is it really possible to define a clear threshold between what's attainable natty and what isn't? There must be some 6'3 230 ripped freak out there who's confused why everyone keeps accusing him of gear.

I think strength threshold for non juicers is higher than people think, as far as aesthetics I have no idea where that threshold lies.

i started at 150lbs 6' 12% bodyfat, in 2 years i was 6' 185lb 12% bf. I'll maintain this with consistent training as long as i eat enough and don't drink. Being on the sauce allows me to sit around 210 10-11% bf, unsure what it would take to maintain this natty but don't really care.

The limit varies a little for individuals for sure, but an FFMI over 25 is a pretty clear indication of gear for 99.99% of the population.

You'll never get as jacked/aesthetic naturally as enhanced. Ever. There is a massive genetic difference as well. Some individuals are just born lucky. Tall. Fast metabolism. High testosterone. Good bone structure. The ability to easily put on/maintain muscle. Etc. The idea that going enhanced means a person is lazy, cheating, etc. is a bit of a misnomer.



I'm 35 years old. I've been training close to 16 years now (Mostly natty then went enhanced). I've never been able to break 200lbs body weight. Although I most likely will at some point in the future. Its not as simple as just eating more. I simply can't digest/metabolise the amount of food I need to in order to put on that mass. Just doesn't work for me. I could probably 'dirty bulk' but then I'd just get fat, which defeats the purpose.



I'm currently sitting at 192lbs enhanced. If I'd be natural and lean I'd most likely be around 150lbs. Obviously, I'll never be taller then 5'8. Its simply something I can't change. But I can change whether I walk around at 150lbs lean or 190lbs lean.

Measurement Procedure:
chest - measured relaxed (not flexed or expanded), arms at sides, tape under armpits
biceps - flexed, at largest point
forearms - fist clenched, hand out straight, measured at largest point
neck - below Adam's apple at smallest point
thighs - standing relaxed, midway between hip and knee
calves - standing relaxed, at largest point
* For all measurements tape should be snug but not compressing the flesh.


For the average trainee of 5'10" tall with 7.25" wrists and 9.25" ankles the equations yield:

chest = 1.625 x 7.25 + 1.3682 x 9.25 + 0.3562 x 70 = 49.4"
biceps = 1.1709 x 7.25 + 0.1350 x 70 = 17.9"
