Electricity was never meant to move heavy things

What's more economical?
-a 20k 4 cylinder that sips gasoline while moving 3000lbs

-Or a Tesla that cost 40k, weighs 3500lb.

Everyone talks about the cost of charging, but once more evs come into the picture, things are going to increase tremendously.

They do not charge fast and so they are of no use.

They were out in the 1930s and did not work then either.

There's probably a hundreds of millions who do not have a place to charge them. There is no way to have enough charging stations for people in a well populated area to charge them.

Weight is one of the biggest factors when it comes to commercial hauling. Batteries are very heavy.

Just seen a test where they take a 1500 v8 vs a long range f150 lightning pulling identical trailers. The lightening only made it 90 miles and the truck made it almost 3x further.

Yup, EV's are notoriously inefficient at hauling.

Another big problems with EV's with hauling is a lack of gearing. With an ICE a commercial truck can have something like an 18 gear transmission if they need one, giving them a ratio for just about any speed. With EV's they more or less tend to have just one speed. That makes a difference.

Torque aint that important if you arn't hauling heavy trees after cutting it down. For everyday driving you don't need that much HP or torque.

There was also a study done on various tradie vehicles like JCB diggers. The weight of these things if they were elect would make them impossible to transport to where they would to be used.
