This isn’t a new phenomenon. Civilizations always end up in the Age of Decadence when they advance enough. This is because man is inherently wicked, and when there is no moral grounding humans inevitably drift into clown world status. It just seems worse this time(and probably is) due to technology and the rate of human “advancement”.

Function of the human condition. Because we're tribal-minded and will always be, the absence of objective war and strife causes people to manufacture problems to 'go to war' on. Poverty, homelessness, drugs, and now, language. We're always going to divide ourselves by means of psychological borders - imaginary lines we draw in the sand: countries, religion, race, culture, etc. None of these are tangible. We made them up.

Evolution is slow. We're still operating out of a primitive brain that has not changed substantially in over 10,000 years. We're more likely to wipe each other out completely before using critical thought before feeling and action.

Before FB and Instagram were huge people with their idiotic ideas/beliefs could just bounce them off people in their inner circle. Probably facing 70/30 ridicule to support ratio. Now they can post them online and get thousands of other idiots chiming in with support for their nonsense, and it just spreads from there like a virus.


Social Media has been a cancer to society in so many ways..... I'm not saying it isn't helpful in some as well, but it's hard to say if it's done more good than bad.

I agree. I've always leaned more towards that people have always been the way they are, but social media has given idiots a platform to spread their garbage. You take one idiot down the street with toxic ideas in the 80s and nobody outside his immediate circle has to listen to his bullschit. You give him access to social media and his views spread like a cancer. Social media has effectively allowed toxic/bullschit opinions to spread like a virus. Pair that with the fact that humans are incredibly amenable to brainwashing and are easily swayed and you have quite the schit concoction.

Idk I'm walking around right now and nearly everyone is obese most people my age (and in general) are completely brainwashed via either social media or the msm

Outside the internet, I experience little issues with the so-called 'clown world.' Maybe it's more present in the USA, but the only place this exists for me is online. Maybe people need to go outdoors a bit.
