Anyone else destroyed after lifting? (SRS)

Literally everytime I lift, after I’m finished I feel destroyed and like all I want to do is LDAR

I train full body every other day with mostly heavy compound lifts and a couple iso’s. Cardio on off days and abs everyday

I’m getting close to my strength levels pre-covid but holy chit am I feeling it. Barely have the energy to even play video games (srs)

Lulz'd out loud at the 'not enough energy to play videogames', but yeah, I feel ya. Maybe do one less set of things for a while.

I stopped working out this hard with weights for this same reason. Can't function for 4-5 days after working out too intensely, it's not worth it.

Now I just do some bodyweight stuff every day and am making sick gains srs. Not much fatigue to speak of but sometimes I push it too hard.

Why do full body then?

Why not just split into chest/bi, legz, shoulders/tri, back?

This is why most people (including me) fail full body routine's. Heavy bench followed by heavy rows then military etc...

Couldn't do it, bro splits much more manageable for me.

Been lifting non stop for 2 years, like no breaks.

Have no problem with recovery.

Recently added Judo once a week and I get completely wrecked after. My whole body hurts like I just started lifting for the first time. All I can do the whole day after is LDAR.

Yeah I do bro splits but I still feel like the workouts take a lot out of me. Definitely don’t feel better from working out, never really have. Yes it boosts strength, confidence, aesthetics, etc. But my body needs to ache more and I have less energy in comparison to times where I take breaks or focus more on high reps, which leads me to believe that training with heavy weights is generally the culprit for feeling so taxed and also is why the joints will ache.
