It is brutal and it iseverywhere. You just can't stop seeing it...stopped at Taco Casa [cheap-ish fast food] to get one big taco for a late lunch yesterday and saw the price had jumped from $3.29 to $3.79.

I'm old enough to remember regular Campbell's Cream of Tomato soup selling @ 3 or 4 cans for $1. Now even at Aldi or Walmart it is at $1.19 for one can. Cream of Mushroom or Chicken are getting closer to $2. Name brand canned vegetables like green beans/corn/carrots at or nearing $2 a can. On that the store brands are at least still @ or under $1. I'm trying to stock up and was planning to get some canned salmon for salmon croquets which my grandma used to make....about $4 for 1 can.

Yes. I don't see any way this system doesn't break, one way or another. And I've got two videos to share that break it down. Didn't get around to posting yesterday.

Did you see the PPI number out of Germany? I think they will catch up.

Caught a comment late yesterday saying that sustained price of $120 or higher will set off the derivatives bomb, but the poster didn't explain why and I didn't try to figure it out.

75 basis points, or even 100 basis points aren't enough of an increase. There needs to be a 200 basis point increase and extreme quantitative tightening. Yes, there will be a big recession, people will lose their jobs, etc, but will effect a good chunk of the US while hyperinflation effects like 95% of Americans.
