Anybody done extensive travel in Africa? Worth it?

So I booked a trip to S Africa for later this year, and it's a 3 month trip flying in and out of Cape Town. Obviously that's a really long trip, so even if I fall in love with S Africa it's likely I wouldn't want to spend all of that time within just one country. Currently trying to get an idea of other countries in Africa(have never been there) that I might want to go to after. And I got a really cheap flight deal($550 roundtrip from the US), so honestly if I only use one leg of the flight and have to book another trip back home from somewhere else, that's something I'd be ok with.

I'm not against the idea of going to Asia after, have been meaning to go to Bali or back to the Philippines and this could be a good opportunity to do so. But I figure it makes sense to hit all of the good parts of Africa if I'll already be there.

I'm the type of traveler who likes to do some tourist things, but I'm most comfortable on a beach or in a big city with vibrant nightlife. If I can stay out drinking and chasing pussy until 6AM every night, I'm a happy man.

S Africa is extremely dangerous to travel alone in. Go to a game park that's peak Africa IMO. Serengeti might be fun too. Stay safe OP.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if I have sex with like 20+ girls on this trip. The first time I went to S America I did something like 13 girls in 18 days, and I have a lot more experience now.

Yeah, I think no matter what I'll go to Kenya as well. Safe country with not much to worry about. And also Tanzania and a handful of others. But I'm wondering if countries like Zimbabwe actually have good enough tourist infrastructure to actually be worth a visit, or if there just isn't anything to do there(like not even good hotels or things to do or taxis).

I am fascinated by Africa srs. Not sure I’m adventurous enough to actually visit. Seems like too much of a chithole, but I flirt with the idea in my mind.

Binged watched this YouTuber named Sabbatical a few months ago. He’s a white brah from NY who traveled to a bunch of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa with zero fuks given. It’s apparent that a major transformation is happening in the big cities. Development exploding, westernization in some respects, but a weird version that involves Chinese influence over these nations.

If I were to visit, East Africa would seem to be the way to go. Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda. The people come across as very laid back, just out to have a good time and enjoy life. More modern cities in these countries as well as less confrontational, more welcoming natives than what you find in West Africa.

I saw a video of Lagos, Nigeria and it looked like hell on earth. People trying to shake you down every 2 mins, crowds literally stepping over each other. Disgusting looking place. I would honestly avoid South Africa too. Cape Town is beautiful, sure, but the country is one of the most dangerous on earth (alongside Brazil, El Salvador, etc.) They have carjackings, armed robberies constantly in broad daylight.

The only country in the southern region that looks worth a visit is Namibia, which is more rural and peaceful.

As for the wildlife, yeah it would be fkin awesome to drive down the street and see a pride of lions.
