Casual racism actually brings races together

It's just humorous banter that helps us relate to each other, kind of like when you tease a friend for something they've done in the past. "Lol remember that time you ____" etc

Without casual racism a stand off occurs as there might be unspoken resentment or a lack of trust, and with the humorous jabs bonding can occur.

For instance if white people call out black people for the crime rate, and blacks call out whites for conquering the world and building civilization etc, these are essentially just icebreakers that help us build friendships long term.

Without casual racism tensions build and bonds are not built, just like how we make friends and poke fun once in a while.

The more we can air this stuff the closer we can get over time.

Thoughts?

I actually agree with the OP.

I occasionally make jokes while someone mentions someone else being Indian, and I always say, "Is that Dot or Feather Indian?!?". I always get some people who are totally appalled by that, but I honestly just think it's funny and for someone not entirely put off by worrying about racism it's actually kind of a bonding moment.
