I'm in some crypto and follow it and all, but the whole market cap thing I never understood. Like, how in the world does he think/know Ethereum can safely get to $1 trillion MC? Why is that the magic number he's pulling out of his ass? With stocks, you've got cash on hand, collateral, assets, earnings, design and product patents, E/P ratios, etc. Smart people can put together educated guesses on future market caps based on a wealth of applicable information. There's literally nothing tangible tied to some of these coins (not all, but most). So other than hype, what's actually driving theoretical market caps?
