Need some audiobook/audible tips bros

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and have been listening to the Stormlight Archives so it took me a while to listen to the first 4 (**** you Moash). Havent listened to the novellas yet though. I need some tips/tricks/hacks whatever to get credits because i'm gonna listen to some much shorter books for a while. Hell, if you know a way to get unlimited credit, that would be cool. Any apps that do this?

Get the overdrive app and you can barrow audiobooks from your library with it.

I try to find books with series in them that one audible credit will pay for 4-5 books.

interesting. Is it JUST my library or any library? I pretty much only listen to fantasy and science fiction. I love larry Correia (MrBourbon told me about him. MrBourbon is a window licker though) and i just cant see MY towns library having books like that that id want to listen to

I usually listen to them while I jog.

My hard drive got more than hundreds of audiobooks, all fiction. I downloaded those mp3 files online for free years ago.
Whatever I don't have I search the site below and most of the time I get them.

had audible for years, here’s some of my tips for it:
-my membership level now has many books “included” that u don’t even have to spend a credit on, not sure if there’s different levels that don’t have that, check if yours does. for mine I pay like $15/month and get 1 credit/month
-always check the price of a book before u just buy it with a credit, many books cost less than what u paid for a credit (especially older books, new ones are usually more than a credit costs)
-seems like every couple months they offer me to buy 3 credits for like $12 each so that’s cheaper than my $15 monthly one, so I buy those when out of credits and use them for any book I want that cost more than $12

Mine has already informed me of the free ones, but i almost always have a book in mind of what i want to listen to (becuase its usually a series). If i pick a random/stand alone book, i will do quite a bit of research on it. Last times i picked a somewhat random/vaguely reccomended book i was disappointed (house of leavesandthe diviners. Diviners was ok not NEARLY as scary and horror filled as it was made out to be. House of leaves was VERY interesting but its weird concept was its main selling point. Story was neat but no scariness to it

if a book u want is cheaper than a credit you can just buy it with cash and save your credit for a more expensive book

are you aware that you can return a book if you don’t like it after you start listening to it? I just learned that recently, makes it less risky to take a chance on a book you are not sure about

Oh ok. Just dont use the credit. Got it. About how much money would you say a credit is worth?

Also yeah i knew about returning the book. Do you get the credit back? I guess you could theoretically return them all but i like to keep the books i read like a serial killer keeps trophies

credit is worth however much u paid for it—since I pay $15 for 1 credit/month, I never use credits for books costing less than $15 and if I have some of the extra credits they sell in the 3 credits for $36 deal then I just pay cash for any book under $12 since that’s how much I paid for the credit. like say a particular book is only $9 if i use a credit it’s like I’m paying $12 or $15 for it since that’s how much the credit cost me, I would just pay the $9 and then use the credit next time I want a book that’s like $25 or $30

i just finshed book 2 of the Enders Game series (Book 2: Speaker for the dead) and holy fukking chit was it boring. Enders game was pretty cool. We were killing bugs but book 2 was just portuguese star travelers from earth on another planet about studyingpiggiesthat were intelligent. There were some pretty neat moments to it but holy fuk was it chit compared to the (IMO lacking of action) int he first book. I like real action packed page turners

Also, someone mentioned that some entire series of books will come with a single credit. Is that true?

don’t know if it’s true or not about the series/1 credit, I don’t think I ever saw that but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I don’t read/listen to many series books, more nonfiction and sometimes novels that aren’t part of series so maybe that’s why I just never have seen that for books I normally listen to

OP have you checked out Scribd.com?

Not as much selection as audible but its a monthly sub fee and no credit system bs.

I have been using it for about a month now and its pretty good.
