Anyone else disappointed Jordan Peterson has joined the Daily Wire?

It just feels like he's sold out.
I've always admired him for being a lone voice of sanity in corrupt academia. The one guy who was able to speak out against the pronoun insanity when everyone else around him took the easy road by complying with the neomarxist grift.

He kept it up with his videos against the leftist insanity eventually having to resign from his position as a tenured professor.

But now by joining the daily wire, it just feels like he's lost his authenticity. He used to speak truth to power because he thought what he had to say was important.

Now he'll be speaking and giving lectures because Ben Shapiro's throwing money at him to speak and dance.
It's not the same. Now he's no different than any other right wing podcaster whose got nothing else going on so will just make videos on the internet and ask for Patreon donations (or Daily Wire subscription in this case).

Daily Wire is the only legit source pushing back against wokeism.

It makes sense that Peterson gets a platform where he isn't censored when logic hurts feelings.

I wouldn't say it's the only one, but regardless, but not really sure why OP would take issue with this. I mean if you want to take issue with him, there's better reasons than him joining the Daily Wire.

The more people he can get his message to the better. Not sure what the problem is here, especially since he’s always tried to capitalize on his ventures as much as possible.

Im with you OP.

Being part of an org kind of takes away what made him ''special.'' People from both left right and religions took to JP because he was seen as the voice of reason that took 0 sides. hes taken one now and it just takes away what made him great.

furthermore, although DW is anti-woke and ill have them over any leftist bs platform, they are zionists and have other agendas at play.

Peterson is going to be fine. He's not going to change. Daily Wire is also legit. Ben Shapiro helped start it, and even though the guy is a tiny hat, he's outspoken against other tiny hats, specifically the ones who do terrible things and hide behind the tiny hat.

Peterson's entire belief system is based around not doing things you hate.

Not a chance in hell he sells out for a few shekels.

I liked JP better when he was the cranky yet insightful Canadian professor, 2016 youtube era. Talking about the evolution of culture and philosophy in more abstract terms, linking historical relevance.

Front lines of the culture war wasn't the place for him, and it hasn't treated him well.

I don't see the problem. I agree with 99% of Shapiro's talking points and could say the same for JP. Should be a good combo. I can't stand Shapiro's tone, but everything he says is common and logical sense. And according to a recent test, I lean left and libertarian, for what it's worth.

Would have been a bigger deal 5 years ago when he was at his peak

I still think he hasn't fully recovered... Since he came back he seems to lose his composure and go on tangents all the time which is sad because he used to be so good at being careful and directly relevant with how he would answer questions
