Happy friday brahs...What's poppin this weekend? Tonight we're chillin, and tomorrow we're doing some paddle boarding. It's been hotter than the devils wife's vagina so doing something on the water will be cool. Whatever you guys are up to be safe, have fun, and as usual kick a couple back for ya boy.

Now to my question has anyone here ever boarded a doggo? Next week will be our first time and I really don't know what to expect. I'm a bit nervous to be honest. Do I like hug my doggo, or act like everything is cool, so he doesn't realize something is up? I know to provide them with blankets, and things with our scent on them, but what are some other tips you can give?

For the boarding, just act completely normal. Your doggo will likely be stressed regardless, so don't make the anxiety worse. Assuming it's a legit facility, you'll have nothing to worry about. Schedule some play times (one on one if no good with other dogs, or with other pups if no aggression), get a decent sized cage/run, and the pup will be fine. Make sure they have your phone number because sometimes they won't eat when stressed, but they'll keep you posted and ask if they can give your pup chicken, try different foods, etc. The biggest thing is to just walk out though. Don't stand there staring, waiting, while the doggo is barking at you to not leave. It's like dropping your first born off at the first day of kindergarten. Just turn and go and rip it off like a bandaid.

As for my weekend, I'll be hitting up the shooting range with the wife tomorrow. Probably brew a beer with a bud, and then head out to dinner with the wife tomorrow night. Sunday will be food shopping and a hair cut. I usually paint on Sundays when I have free time, but I think I'll probably finish up the lawn and relax instead. Painted this last weekend (need to add more detail to the lighthouse but I got lazy towards the end):

Yessir, got into painting a few years ago. I actually like the process more than the finished products. It's fun and relaxing for me. But yea, for the doggo, sounds like you're all set. I'm sure you'll be worrying in your head the whole time (I def was), but everything will be fine. Doggo's in good hands.
