dumb jobs you’ve had

Junior tennis pro at a country club one summer at age 16 - a lot of old MILFs and GILFs would hit on me but I never did anything about it

At 16 during the fall and winter I worked at an indoor paintball field and got fired for jumping around on the inflatable bunkers instead of wiping them down

At age 23 I worked at Barnes and noble and ****ed the 17 year old barista that worked at the Starbucks attached to our store (ded fkn Srs)

At age 24 I worked as a bank teller and was very ashamed of myself and felt like a huge failure making 13 bucks an hour. I had a black / Dominican manager who was a legit 8/10 and about 8 years older than me. We got a hotel and had sex after I had worked there for like 2 months because I still lived with my parents. We used to sneak into the ATM room to count the cash at the end of the day and she’d jerk me off and give me head even though there’s cameras in there (ded fkn Srs) then I got two DUIs and quit that job and got into sales thank god (ded fkn Srs)

LOL! You and I are so similar. I worked in a tennis club pro shop at age 16 and the older guys were sleazy and hit on me.

At 20 I did a number of receptionist jobs through a temp agency which were pretty lame and stressful.

Since then, however, I became an intern at my current company in college and then remained in the tech world, except for when I took a break to be home with my daughter.

Then I became a tennis pro and did email marketing for the tennis academy. I wouldn't complain about it as the hours were when she was with her Dad or at preschool, so it was perfect for spending a lot of time with her and we kept her out of day care her entire childhood.

Subway tried to play me. on my first day, said i would come in for "training", only gave me 4 hours and scheduled it to cover lunch. Said I would make "practice" sandwiches, which never happened, every crap tier thign i made was sold. then when i asked my next shift was they said oh we will tell you and then nothing then i get a call one day in the morning asking if I could come in for 2 hours only during lunch rush hour.

Are you fuking kidding me for like 5.50 an hour or whatever minimum wage was, you want me to only work the lunch rush hour and effectively be on call for a minimum wage job? told them this wasnt going to work. then they tried to not pay me for my 4 hours and I kept harassing them and they finally sent me a check for $25

Also they bait and switched me, i filled out an application at one store and the franchise manager said they only got an opening on the other store 10 miles away across a toll bridge at the beach.

I worked at a movie theatre in high school. The owner lived 2 hours away and would only come on weekends. The rest of the time me and my high school friends would run it. We’d sometimes tell customers the ac was broke and we were closed and we’d just get drunk and watch movies instead.

worked at a call center too. a lot of middle aged people there, they do this chit for like 10-20 years, i would blow my fuking brains out if I had to do that.

a lot of the workers have criminal records. when I was bored i would google coworker names on the county sheriff site. lol if you ever gave one of those bums your debit card.

customers would call in all irate and I would troll them hard. wish i had the tapes of it.

By far the lawn and garden drive aisle at Lowe's when I was 21 one summer.

Loading 50 bags of mulch, 50 bags of top soil, paver stones, hay bails

Meanwhile it was 100* and 80% humidity.

When I was 17 I took a job at a soccer store in the summer. I thought it would be an amazing job since I thought I'd be able to discuss soccer with customers, and recommend them what jerseys, and cleats to buy.

Lol nope not even close. The owner was some sleazy middle eastern guy, and he made me run one of his stores that was in a rundown shopping complex.

This was before smartphones so the job was painfully boring. I would get at most 10 customers a day, and I was working from 8 am-5pm.

I was literally just sitting there hoping a customer would come in to have an interaction with someone. Other than that I would juggle a soccer ball or try on diff cleats til I got even more bored. Also, when customers did come in 99% of the time they didn't buy anything lmao I was so done with the job I didn't even try to make a sale.

This was all for a whopping $6 an hr, and the owner would pay me in personal checks. I would take it hoping it wouldn't bounce lol.

Buffalo wild wings as a fry cook during college. I remember one random Tuesday or Wednesday I was taking out the trash at like 1 am, with a 400 level math midterm that next morning, wondering wtf I was doing there... the sloot waitresses made all the tips, and I was getting burnt from dropping frozen wings in a fryer...
I ended up getting like 20k dropped in my checkings for tuition shortly after and quit on the spot haha.

Worked at Abercrombie and Fitch one summer because it was the only place I could work with my off season sports schedule. Brutal. But would just flirt with all the hot bishes there.

Reffing for soccer. Wasn't dumb but man that was brutal too. Reffing little kids, dealing with the weather, spending all day on the weekends getting roasted, refs always never showing up so having the pressure of reffing games by myself or one other kid that was useless.

Working for my uncles company that sold exhaust pipes and other equipment for crotch rockets. Would build kits, package pipes, do inventory and other **** in their house in a room haha. Would send so many high end custom racing exhaust pipes to Afghanistan Iran, and random countries all over the world. Was a weird job for a while.

Most other stuff was just typical jobs that weren't really dumb or anything.

it's a tie for me betwen a few
15-16 year old me was a cart pusher at a grocery store. Legit had fun smoking weed with my friends all day, and then tag teaming carts. Brb getting 30+ carts together, one person pushes and the other steers at the front of this massive train of carts. Every now and then someone would see us coming but still try to drive in front of us thinking we'd stop, definitely fukked some cars up.

early 20s me in a new area and needed a job BADLY. Found quick work for a 'drainage' company. Was legit ditch digging, and always remember my mom telling me "if you don't work hard in school you are going to end up digging ditches for a living...fuk you mom. Dude who owned the business was kind of a creep, kept wanting me to bring me gf and her roommates to hang on his boat. I was too embarrassed about my chit job to invite them to take him up on his offer.

that was my life the summer i graduated.

worst one was the "electroplater" position.
I showed up and they were dipping milk pasteurization plates (about 4x8 ft in size) into giant vats of "mild" acid.
then i had to scrape the silicone gaskets off after they came out.

nobody told me what i would actually be doing when i told the temp agency i'll take it because i wanted to work.
i had to threaten to leave if i didn't get some gloves and goggles.
I should of had some kind of apron also but no such luck.
I finished the day because that's how i am but fuk my shirt and jeans were full of holes from acid burns and my lower arms had splotches from the acid splashes.
I never went back.

No, you didn't pep nips. Hollister is affiliated with Abercrombie & Fitch. They only employ good looking guys. Netflix even made a doc about it.

How mad are you brah? Lmfao... I remember a high school sloot talking to me about random chit while shopping then asking me to size her up. I still have no idea what the hell she was asking. I randomly think about that sometimes. Wtf did she mean by "size her up".
