Is being a dictator better than being elected?

- >99% voter turnout out
- 100% vote for you (one party, baby).
- Decisions made without a committee (I am the Senate!)
- Fine b1tches on standby.
- You are always right (that’s what your terrified yes men say)

Looks like dictatorships are on the rise and probably the world will have fewer rights in the future compared to now.

I’m looking for my own kingdom to liberate then install myself as ruling overlord.

Depends iof the dictator is in it for the country, or just himself. Then of course you end up with crazies like Stalin or Mao.

Dictators are elected. A dictatorship in a domacracy is one half of the people voting to coerce the other half. From there, the dictator attempts to centralize as much as possible. A dictatorship can be one or few individuals, which is what central planning is.
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

NK has strong central leadership, something the US wished they had.

Hitler was an elected dictator

Do people forget that he actually won an election to become a dictator. He tried a coup but failed a few years prior.

I think the «dictatorship» in Gaddafi’s Libya was the purest form of democracy There is. He had the people vote directly whether to go thru with policies or not. Modern «democracy» is pure corruption. Politicians have all the power & the people have almost no influence on anything.

No joke. Many countries are. Compare the size of NK and their success with other same sized countries.

A strong central leader is so important. With these other countries, you have other branches of government that are getting too powerful, ultimately tearing the country apart. Actually the very thing happened to Korea. Two central branches splitted into N and S.
