Why American Fascism is on the rise (video analysis) worth a watch

The current right wing movement in America does not meet the definition of facism. And even if its close in a few small regards, its on the rise because the far left/liberals have pushed the envelope too far.

Too many loudmouth extremists on both sides of the political spectrum. At the current, the far left is far worse then the far right. As a centrist/libertarian at heart I vote R every time because its the lesser of two evils.

As far as facism goes the left is now FAR more authoritarian and want more government control then the right.

Bored dudes LARPing around instead of joining a bowling or softball team. Then a decent chunk are FBI. Or in the case of the Virginia governor's race it was a handful of identifiable young people who worked for Democrat organizations creating a hoax.

The only fascism on the rise in the US is economic. American healthcare is the economics of fascism: government control, allowing private profits along the way.

They're openly calling for violence against the "undesirables" So I don't know how doesn't fit the definition of fascism....

At this point, the Democrats are just as frustrating as the Republicans are. Both parties are corporate shills with no interest in actually addressing the material conditions of the citizens beyond token performative efforts. More credit to the Republicans for being up front about that.

Capitalism has gotten rough, boyos. It is the undisputed champ of developing economies, both from a pure growth and from improving the quality of life for it's citizens. I do not deny this. What I do deny is that capitalism as unimpeded as it currently is going to lead to worse and worse outcomes for the majority of the citizenry to the point where civil unrest is inevitable.

My personal belief is not to run full force at the diametric opposite in the form of communism. I don't believe true communism could ever be achieved without a brutal police state because human nature is what it is. However, I am strongly in support of alot more levers to combat some of capitalism's worst side effects such as gravitation towards monopolies, skyrocketing income inequality and over-commoditization of basic human needs such as healthcare and housing. How? Stronger antitrust laws and enforcement, a strong unionization effort on the part of major labor sectors and higher taxes on the ultra-wealthy. Less likely, socialized healthcare and an actual effort to increase home affordability would also be great. And for the pipe dream - money out of politics and ranked choice voting would also be great, but I won't actually hold my breath for those.

I think both political alignments have the potential for authoritarian crackdowns when they go to far in either direction. On the right, "law and order" mandates once the unrest over material conditions has risen so high it demands police action to combat. On the left, excessive government centralization and oversight causes the same unrest from lack of individual freedoms and poor management. Social issues including nationalism or "wokeism" can case similar social unrest under both as well.

This is what fascism is, and this exactly what the republican party has been doing:

Now I'm not saying the democratic party is better, they're equally corrupt and subservient to the oligarchic interests, it's time for new proposals in politics.
Fascism is a cult of the leader, who promises national restoration in the face of supposed humiliation by immigrants, leftists, liberals, minorities, homosexuals, women, in the face of what the fascist leader says is a takeover of the country's media, cultural institutions, schools by these forces.

Fascist movements typically, though not invariably, rest on an urban/rural divide. The cities are where there's decadence, where the elites congregate, where there's immigrants, and where there's criminality.

Each of these individuals alone is not in and of itself fascist, but you have to worry when they're all grouped together, seeing the other as less than. Those moments are the times when societies need to worry about fascism.

Fascism is nothing more than communism lite.

Takes a 2 minute google search to find the nazis platform (read here:https://sourcebooks.fordham.edu/mod/25points.asp) and the Italians platform (read here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascist_Manifesto)
