Haven't used an air fryer but does seem like an instant pot has a lot more versatility.

They do two different things, but both are wonderful kitchen tools in my opinion.

I have a Mealthy Crisp Lid that turns my Instant Pot into an air fryer.

Air fryer for me is just a smaller oven. I really only use it for seasoned roasted potatoes.
Instant Pot makes delicious stuff in no time flat, much more versatile. I can make dozens of things with it.

Instant Pot no brainer. Not sure if I could live without roasted potatoes tho..
